The North Central Conference hosts camping ministries which provide quality spiritual growth and outreach opportunities. We currently have two beautiful campuses located in Wisconsin and Iowa.
Bible Quizzing grows young hearts and minds, while Youth leadership development propels the Christian movement into the future.
Sky Lodge Christian Camp utilizes its natural, God created setting to provide physical recreation, emotional renewal and spiritual restoration through camping activities blended with biblical principles and Christian values. Camps are offered year round for children of all ages, teens and adults.

Dawn and Wes Young met at Sky Lodge where they served on staff for 16 years. Dawn developed the Zone Summer Staff discipleship program in those years. When the Young family left Sky Lodge 13 years ago, they settled in McPherson, Kansas. As a Central Christian College of Kansas graduate, Wes had fond memories of McPherson as a family-friendly town. He was able to secure a good job at a pharmaceutical company where he worked his way up to machine operator. Dawn’s full-time job has been as a mother to their only child, Taiya. She has held a variety of part-time jobs through the years including middle school ministry director, muffin factory tech, starting a wood sign painting business, and administrative assistant at the hospital. Dawn also took the lead in developing a team to revive the camping ministry for youth and teens in the Great Plains Conference of the Free Methodist Church. These Refuge camps have been very successful and fruitful. Taiya has kept the family busy as she pursued a variety of interests. Notably, she earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and made it to state in doubles tennis. Her first love, though, is wrestling where she found team camaraderie, discipline, and grit. She will be pursuing welding this fall at the Missouri Welding Institute. Each member of the family is excited to return “home” to Sky Lodge. Fond memories of both the place and the people abound.
Heartland Christian Camp believes that camping is a tremendous tool that God is using today to reach people of all ages with life-changing concepts and truths taught by Jesus Christ's life, death, and resurrection.
Camps for all ages are provided during the summer and fall, and the camp is also available for people to utilize as sites for family reunions, hunting retreats, get aways for friend groups, and more!

The NCC and Free Methodist Church of North American has an excellent Bible quizzing ministry for children and youth.
Local church quiz teams travel the region for meets, and at times the country. Youth participating on a team study and are exposed to the Word of God, develop lifelong friendships, enjoy travel opportunities and gain an understanding of transformed living through knowledge of scripture!

Great source for curriculum... This material is totally free to use and includes coloring sheets, crosswords, word searches and more. It is laid out by Old/ New Testament. We've found the content to be good. If nothing else, it's a great source for the "extras" and as a jumping board for a lesson. It also includes some VBS materials.
