S-mail: 19127 County 8, Wykoff, MN 55990 ___________________________________________ NORTH CENTRAL BIBLE QUIZ FINALS On April 12, 2008, 35 youth on 12 quiz teams from Aurora, IL; Fillmore, MN; Marion, IA; Monee, IL; New Berlin, WI; Platteville, WI; Richland, IL; Waukegon, IL; and Woodstock, IL gathered at the Fillmore (MN) Free Methodist Church for the North Central Conference Bible Quiz Finals tournament. For eight rounds, the youth jumped off electronic seats to earn the opportunity to answer questions about the Biblical books of Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon. Competition each round was held simultaneously in six rooms. At the end of the day, the following were the top 3 finishers in each division: Senior Teen Veteran Team Division: (1) Marion, IA; (2) Monee, IL; & (3) Fillmore, MN. Senior Teen Rookie / Young Teen Veteran Team Division: (1) New Berlin, WI; (2) Waukegan, IL; & (3) Aurora, IL. Rookie Team Division: (1) Waukegon, IL; (2) Platteville, WI; & (3) Richland, IL. Senior Teen Veteran Individual Competition: (1) Stephen Hopper (Fillmore); (2) Brett Krantz (Monee); & (3) Sarah Stephenson (Marion). Young Teen Veteran Individual Competition: (1) Matthew Stephenson (Marion); (2) Emily Hardcastle (New Berlin); & (3) Katie Roberts (Fillmore). Rookie Individual Competition: (1) Jordan Brauck (Waukegon); (2) Allison Sweetland (Platteville); & (3) Megan Sweetland (Platteville). The tournament began with an opening session that included worship music, a devotional, and instructions for the tournament. In addition to quizzing, the youth played ping pong and air hockey in their spare time. The Fillmore Church did a great job of hosting this youth ministry event.
